Days before turning 43, Kim Kardashian shares her secret concoction for maintaining youthful skin in her beloved moisturizer

Kim Kardashian shared a secret this week days before her 43rd birthday – her big day is on Sunday.

The mother of four said her skincare hack is mixing facial oil into her moisturizer.

The reality TV star has opened up about how she keeps her skin looking picture perfect – revealing she’s learned to embrace oil in recent years and she’s convinced mixing a little into a moisturizer gives her an extra ‘glowy’ look.

‘It’s a new thing for me; I used to like to be so matte before, so I never really used oil,’ the star, who recently showed off her new Malibu mansion, told Refinery29.com.

‘If you get a spray tan, oils usually rub that off. I used to be so scared of oils and think, are oils going to give me oily skin or make me break out? None of the above.’

She added: ‘I use a little bit, mixed with moisturizer, you just look so glowy and it feels like the moisture holds.’

Kim also revealed her top top for autumn to keep skin looking good as the weather cools, adding: ‘For the fall, I always like to extra moisturize and extra exfoliate.’

She also explained her ever-changing style extends to her make-up as well as her clothes, adding: ‘I think that your style changes for sure.

‘I used to love super matte make-up and I never thought I would like super creamy products. Now, I just want to look creamy and dewy …

‘I wonder if I’ll go back to super matte in the fall…’

It comes after Kim revealed she often turns to TikTok for beauty inspiration.

The SKIMS founder isn’t afraid to try ‘hair hacks’ she learns about online and regularly splashes out on products she’s seen used in videos on the social media platform, even though she doesn’t know how effective they will be.

She told People magazine: ‘I love TikTok beauty content – I order everything to try, such as skin tools and products for beauty and hair hacks, even though it can be difficult to know what actually works.

‘I always ask my aesthetician for her opinion on trends, and she always gives me the best advice.’

Last week she revealed a secret about her skin in an interview with Refinery29.

The AHS star opened up about struggling with adult acne and said most people don’t notice because she keeps it concealed ‘really well under makeup’.

‘Oh, I’ve gotten full acne, like full bouts of it,’ the entrepreneur — who recently admitted she’s been ‘struggling’ as a single mom following her divorce with her ex-husband, Kanye West — revealed.

‘But I’ve documented it,’ she said. ‘I think if people saw it, they’d be really shocked to know that I had that experience.’

To deal with her acne, she said she started playing with different products and even incorporating ingredients she likes into her luxury skincare brand, SKKN by Kim.

The SKIMS founder said this journey was something she ‘never thought I would experience in my 40s’.

The Kardashians star also revealed her skin as gotten more sensitive over the years and she worked really hard to pinpoint the cause of her acne.

‘I’m like, “Should I stop using oils if I have acne?” Then realizing, no, to stop using oil hasn’t been helpful,’ she recalled trying to find the products that works for her skin type.

‘It could be hormonal or a change in supplements,’ she also said. ‘Every time I change the way that I eat or try different foods — I guess my skin has gotten really sensitive.’

‘It’s been really interesting to try new products and figure out what works for different skin that I never thought I would experience in my 40s.’

In addition to dealing with adult acne, Kardashian also struggles with chronic psoriasis — something she has been vocal about in the past.

‘I’d love to thank my mother for that issue,’ she said to the outlet. ‘I’m the only one of her kids that got it.’

On the frustrating process of looking for a solution to clear the chronic rashes, she said she still does not know why it occurs and has ‘kind of given up on trying to figure it out’.
