She belts out the lyrics ‘You change your mind like a girl changes clothes’ in her hit song H๏τ N Cold.
And it seems Katy Perry is following her own advice, as the style chameleon showed off two new hair dos in New York on Wednesday night.
The singer wowed in a glittering dress and tumbling red curls as she hit the red carpet at Harper’s Bazaar Evening of Fantasy Celebrating Icons event at the Plaza H๏τel, before switching to a short pink crop to continue the party.
Katy, 30, chose a sparkling green-tinged Saint Laurent gown for her big night, with the star chosen to perform at the celeb-packed event held as New York Fashion Week draws to a close.
While featuring a rather high neckline, the gown still allowed the star to turn up the heat thanks to a thigh high split.
Taking full advantage of the saucy feature, the star made sure to have her long leg sticking out with every pose.
The split also allowed the Dark Horse songstress to show off her platform metallic gold leopard print heels which, besides a gold and diamond bangle, were her only accessory.
Competing for attention against the sparkly dress was the star’s new ‘do with Katy wearing a red wig for the big night.
Parted to one side, the hair piece perfectly framed the star’s face as it fell in loose curls to her shoulders.
The pop star – who performed hit Firework inside the event – was escorted down the red carpet by iconic graphic designer and director Jean-Paul Goude.
One glam look wasn’t enough for Katy though as she was later spotted heading to Le Bain in New York to continue the party.
Greeting a crowd of fans, the star swapped her red locks for a shorter pink do.
The star also switched outfits, trading her glam gown for a little black dress teamed with some fun star-print тιԍнтs.
Katy paid tribute to the unsung heroes of fashion as she closed her 30-minute set at the Harper’s Icon event.
Finishing the hit-filled set with Firework, the singer told the fashionable audience: ‘I always feel like an outcast or a black sheep because I’m no longer sample size.’
‘This next song is a song I want you to remember when you’re going about your day and you rip your pants, you have two Band-Aids fall off of the back of your heel, you’re sweating, there’s coffee all over your blouse. I’m talking about all the ᴀssistants here. And you feel, maybe, like a little plastic bag.’
‘We’re all human,’ she added, according to ABC News. ‘We all start somewhere.’
The outspoken star also gave a shout out to the celebs and models exhausted by Fashion Week, yelling to the audience: ‘Ladies, make some noise if you’re in the house. Fashion Week’s almost over — you can drink as much as you want.’
The chart-topper was honoured alongside a string of stars including Mariah Carey, Oprah and Jessica Chastain at the Icons party, which attracted a long line of big names to the red carpet.
