Litmus Music has acquired the rights to Katy Perry’s five hit albums, namely “One of the Boys”, “Teenage Dream”, “PRISM”, “Witness”, and “Smile”, covering the years 2008 to 2020. The deal was not disclosed financially, but it is estimated at around $225 million by several US media outlets. Katy Perry is a renowned American pop star with chart-topping hits like “California Gurls” and “Firework”, making her one of the highest-earning pop stars in recent times. Litmus CEO Dan McCarroll lauded her as a “creative visionary” with significant influence in music, television, film, and philanthropy. She is also an active UNICEF ambassador for children’s welfare. Perry has been in a relationship with Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom since 2016, and they welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020, just before the release of “Smile”.
