Otherworldly and ethereal, just like queen Megan herself.
Megan Fox is no stranger to a stunning beauty look, but her ethereal makeup on the most recent cover of GLAMOUR is by far our favourite. Ok, we might be biased, but what’s not to love about the pastel iridescent pigments on her eyes, and the amped-up shimmery radiance verging on glᴀss skin, paired with the glossy lips in the perfect shade of crystal pink.
For Megan Fox’s first cover with GLAMOUR, celebrity makeup artist Jenna Kristina went full beat on her beauty look. The theme for the shoot was “otherworldly” bringing out a side of Megan that we’ve not yet seen. Jenna translated this look using colours that she describes felt “crystal-like and whimsical in a dreamy way.”
Radiant Skin
Before going in with the pastels shimmers, Jenna prioritised prepping Megan’s skin. In her Beauty Memo interview, Megan confesses that although she still has acne scarring from her teenage years, she works hard to make her skin look as good as she can and reveals she takes it very seriously! “I don’t ever drink, I don’t ever smoke, I’m like a monk, I don’t ever sleep in my makeup, and because I’m prone to acne scarring I would NEVER pop my own pimples, I’m so strict.”
And Jenna reveals it’s a great canvas to work on. “Megan has incredible skin. For this look I just wanted it to be hydrated and glowing. I layered 111Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster on top of her personal skincare. I use cryo mᴀssage wands to prep and тιԍнтen skin. And finished with a little 111Skin Sub Zero De-Puffing Eye Duo.” says Jenna.
To create the radiant skin finish Jenna applied Tom Ford’s base products including Traceless Soft Matte Primer, £66, Shade and Illuminate Soft Radiance Foundation SPF50, £112, and the Shade & Illuminate Concealer, £54. Followed by Danessa Myricks Beauty Balm Contour, £26, Beauty Bay to create the soft contours.
For the full megawatt glow, she layered Pat McGrath Labs x Bridgerton Divine Blush + Glow Trio, £51, Selfridges on cheeks with Rituel De Fille Luminizers in Moon Pillar and Lunaris, £24 each, Cult Beauty to play up the highlights across Megan’s face.
Ethereal Eyes
As for that soft pastel eye look, Jenna used the Natasha Denona Triochrome Eyeshadow Palette, £110, Cult Beauty, keeping the colours light and bright, but blending a darker purple hue in the lid contour and along to the outer eye, as well as tracing along the lower lash line for extra definition. “I loved the combo of all the pastels working together to make her baby blue eyes really pop.”
“Megan loves a cat eye so I added a really thin clean line and pulled it out a bit to elongate the eyes.” she says, using Pat McGrath Labs Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner, £27, Pat Mcgrath Labs. Then tracing the inner waterline with Maybelline TattooStudio Waterproof Eyeliner in Polished White, £4, Amazon.
For the eyebrows, which we’re all still obsessing over, Jenna reveals Megan likes to do them herself. It’s her specialty and brow pencil is her desert island product.
“For her lashes, I used Ardell [ Naked Lashes in 424, £16.90, Look Fantastic ] for a layered whispy effect – it helped add the ethereal, otherworldly look we were going for,” says Jenna in regards to that signature Sєxy-eyed look.
Crystal Lips
To create the plump lip outline Jenna used the Pat McGrath Labs PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Half Naked, £26, Pat McGrath Labs to shape and fill Megan’s lips then added Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Pearl for the juicy, glossy finish.
